Pluto is a dwarf planet orbiting Sun. It was discovered in February 1930 by Clyde Tombaugh and named by 11 years old British schoolgirl Venetia Burney.
It was originally classified as a Planet, but it was renamed a dwarf planet during the International Astronomical Union conference in Prague, Czech Republic.
