Earth the cradle of civilisation Edit

This is the most famous planet in the entire solar system, wondering why you haven't seen it because your standing on it, Earth is the only planet so far known to have life on it, it is home to billions of species of life, the planet houses an atmosphere that is perfect for habitation. It is located in the band of space that is the right distance from the sun that is neither too hot or too cold called "the goldilocks zone".

It was formed 4.54 billion years ago it is the third planet from the sun, and the densest and fifth largest of all the planet's in the solar system, it is also the largest of all the four rocky terrestrial planets.

Life appeared on the surface within a billion years of it's formation. Earth's biosphere has significantly changed the atmosphere especially the removal of large amount of Carbon Dioxide and replacing it with oxygen, which not only allowed the emergence of aerobic organisms but it caused the creation of layer of Ozone which prevents harmful solar radiation from reaching the surface therefore helps life to survive further. Life is expected to continue on Earth for another 500 million years.

The Earth was formed 4.54 billion years ago, when the solar system was in it's infancy, and the sun was only beginning to burn, it started as an huge rocky body floating in space soon it attracted the other rocky bodies towards it, as they kept colliding the body got bigger and hotter, soon it had become a moon sized body and it continued to grow, soon it became the size it is today, and for the first 300 million years the Earth continued to boil and constantly erupt like a huge planetery volcano, but after that time it started to cool forming what we now know as the crust, and the constant eruption had another effect it gave the Earth it's first atmosphere which was uninhabitable due to the high amount of Carbon Dioxide and the lack of oxygen and Ozone.

But only 200 million years later a huge catastrophic impact occured a huge body little smaller than Mars enterd into an orbit with the Earth, soon it got closer and closer to the planet when it crashed into the Earth causing a huge impact which amazingly did not destroy the Earth but it caused about 25% of the Earth's surface into space, causing for a short time a ring to form around the planet, and eventually the ring clumped together through constant collision and created what is now our sattelite otherwise known as the moon.
